Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Development for the UNC School of Dentistry will serve as the point of contact with the University Central Development Office Annual Fund, will effectively manage all in-house fundraising activities to include developing strategies and a solicitation program for the School's Annual Fund, utilizing direct mail, telephone and electronic communication with donors and prospective donors. The Assistant Director will supervise the execution of a regular gift acknowledgement and annual stewardship program; manage the School's donor and alumni database and its utilization for targeted fund raising campaigns (such as Dean's Club appeals) refined reporting and donor list production; alumni relations and reunion programming, and management of Dental Foundation of North Carolina and Dental Alumni Association endowed scholarship and fellowship award administration. The Assistant Director will serve as the Executive Director of the Dental Alumni Association, working closely with the DAA Board of Directors, planning the Board's regular meetings, planning DAA events, and all other activities associated with the DAA . The Assistant Director will also serve as the Office of Advancement contact with the School's Director of Communications and work closely with him her to ensure that print publications, web page content, and all other forms of communication include alumni development news.

Education Requirements: A Bachelor''s Degree and at least 1 year experience.

Qualification and Experience: Two or more years of development, business, management, or related experience. Successful candidate must possess exceptional communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Supervisory experience is essential.
