Duties: This position works as directed with the Senior Systems Administrator to provide administration of Windows/Linux servers, systems documentation, configurations and monitoring; manages backup systems for the entire data center, networks, desktop deployments and printers in the school; provides second level technical support for the Help Desk team; escalates more difficult issues to the Senior Systems Administrator for resolution. Provides project management expertise for several school wide complex technical projects. Fully responsible for the VDI infrastructure and level-3 systems support 24/7. Provides level-2 support for the firewalls and converged vBlock (VMware, Cisco, EMC) systems. Manages ALL systems licenses and provides inputs for budget planning. Works in a team environment, and achieves outstanding service consistently through both proactive and regular communication. Performs related duties as assigned, as necessary, or as requested by the management. Stays abreast of new technologies, and where appropriate, deploys School-wide technologies. Available on call during non-business hours, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in deploying and supporting client-server technologies, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Ability to work independently with the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Ability to document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution. Strong desktop/server troubleshooting skills required. Must be resourceful and able to take ownership of problems and see them through to completion. Basic Network Security knowledge. Solid experience with Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server, IIS, DNS, DHCP, and other Microsoft technologies, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Data Protection, tape libraries, Active Directory, TCP/IP and LAN/WAN design, VMware Horizon 6.0 and vSphere technologies is a must. Knowledge of Traditional 3 Tier Infrastructure, Hyper Converge Infrastructure, Converge Infrastructure. Familiarity with vBlock or similar systems including UCS Blades, Dell/EMC storage systems. Requires intermediate working knowledge of hardware/software firewall, i.e., FortiNet and TMG. Requires intermediate hands-on experience of Red Hat Enterprise and other Linux software distributions. Requires understanding of Office365 e-mail system and its various components. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS or any equivalent Cloud Infrastructure. Must be a team player, able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Must be reliable and exhibit professional maturity.
