Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering #603127
Northern Arizona University’s Department for Mechanical Engineering is seeking a Lecturer for a non-tenure track. Preference will be given to candidates having engineering design, solid mechanics, and thermal-fluids backgrounds. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching both lower- and upper-division undergraduate classes and laboratories. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in engineering design, machine design, dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermal-fluids lab, materials science, and computer-aided design depending upon the candidate’s strengths and departmental needs. Student mentoring and advising, participation in department-level service, and course and program level assessment activities for accreditation will also be required.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicant should have a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely-related field conferred by the start date of August 21, 2017.
Annual Salary: Salary range is $60,000 to $64,000 per academic year (9-month), depending on experience and qualifications.
