Mathematics Instructor - One Year Full-Time Sabbatical
Jefferson Community College, Watertown, NY, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) System is conducting a search for a full-time, Mathematics Instructor for a one year sabbatical replacement to begin in August 2017. Typical responsibilities include teaching 15 credit hours per term. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teaching excellence.
Required: Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or closely related field.
Preferred: Post-secondary teaching experience; ability to teach statistics and developmental mathematics courses; ability to employ a variety of teaching methods; proficiency in instructional technology; strong oral and written communication skills; experience in applied statistics and research; and ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
