This person will be responsible for procuring annual, restricted and deferred gifts to the College in accordance with the department's goals. Specific emphasis on securing gifts and pledges primarily in the $1,000 - $25,000 range, primarily, but not limited to parents of students, alumni and grandparents. Direct the on-going development of the Parent Council including recruiting and managing the Parent Council - its campaigns, meetings and other development-related programs. Cultivate prospects and leadership annual gifts, and provide stewardship. This requires intense focus on one-on-one solicitation and volunteer cultivation visits with prospects and donors and closing gifts. Manage a prospect pool to ensure maximum engagement of constituents including event management, volunteer management, and solicitation. Work with members of the division staff and other members of the college to broaden the base of gift prospects and to develop appropriate programs to meet the College's highest funding priorities. Help the Annual Fund reach participation and dollar goals as well as the overall advancement of Rhodes development and alumni engagement efforts. This position requires flexibility to travel and work occasional weekends and evenings.Bachelor's degree required. One to three years of development experience, preferably in a higher Ed setting, demonstrated volunteer management skill, a high level of project management and organizational skill required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, to solve problems and demonstrate leadership skills is required.
