This person will be responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating an institution-wide comprehensive donor relations and stewardship plan that appropriately and consistently promotes interaction with and recognition of donors at all levels. Ultimately responsible for creating meaningful opportunities to engage, thank and retain current and future donors. Collaborate effectively with Development, Finance, Financial Aid, faculty, donors, and others in facilitating the establishment of named funds, monitoring spending of funds, tracking beneficiaries of funds and reporting back to donors on the activity supported through their funds. Ensure with all funds that both the donor's intent and the college's needs are respected. Generate creative solutions for stewarding donors in order to advance the College's efforts to maintain and strengthen high-quality individual relationships with donors working in close partnership with senior gift officers. Coordinate contact between donors and scholarship recipients (including personal meetings and a student thank you letter campaign), and the President by identifying and suggesting opportunities for recognition from the President. Advise on and facilitate the recognition of donors in both print and web-based publications in collaboration with Communications. Implement recognition/acknowledgement program to honor donor's birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Partner with Annual Fund team to recognize first time donors, repeat donors, and consecutive giving milestones. This position requires flexibility to travel and work weekends and evenings.Bachelor's degree required. Three to five years of experience, preferably in higher education (or a comparably complex organization), development, marketing, client services, stewardship, or related field. Must demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills, an ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines, pay close attention to detail, and possess superb writing and editing abilities.
