For 151 years, it has stood at the vanguard of educating African-American men in the United States and has an outsized impact on higher education domestically. Morehouse has been the incubator of the most important minds of the Civil Rights era and remains vigilant in preparing young men to answer today’s urgent call of social justice. With an operating budget of $101M and an endowment of $130M, it enrolls approximately 2,200 students, and ranks 4th among historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in 2017.
