Job Description:

The Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology (APK) at the University of Florida (UF) is seeking applications for a 9-month, full-time lecturer (non-tenure) faculty position. The Department of APK (http://apk.hhp.ufl.edu/) currently enrolls approximately 1000 students (900 undergraduate, 100 graduate) with 22 full-time faculty members. The primary responsibilities of this faculty position may include, but are not limited to, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the areas of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, neuromuscular aspects of exercise, strength and conditioning, and exercise physiology. Although the primary duties for this position are instructional, involvement in service at the department, college, and university levels is also expected.

The preferred start date is August 16, 2017.

Advertised Salary:

Minimum Requirements:

Applicants must have a doctorate or terminal degree in exercise science, physiology, kinesiology, or a closely related discipline, and experience teaching university-level courses.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include experience in the development and delivery of online courses, demonstrated commitment to incorporating technology in the classroom, and documented evidence of teaching excellence. We are seeking individuals who are passionate and enthusiastic towards both teaching and student learning to empower our students to make impactful economic, cultural and societal contributions, consistent with the UF mission. Additionally, applicants should possess good communication and social skills to interact with faculty, staff and students.
