Information Systems Specialist
Basic Functions: Serve as a report writer for Institutional Advancement, provide business intelligence, and provide administrative support to the department of Advancement Operations.
Essential Job Functions: Design, write, and test computer reports using Cognos and other tools and data from the Ellucian Banner ODS. Provide business intelligence using data visualization tools including Tableau Desktop as well as independent analysis. Provide training to users in Institutional Advancement on Cognos, Banner, and other systems. Generate and compile daily gift receipts. Generate and compile monthly pledge reminders. Generate presidential acknowledgement letters. Manage stewardship processes. Provide general support to the Assistant Director of Operations for Systems, the Assistant Director for Records and Gift Administration, and the Director of Advancement Operations. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma required. Experience with report writing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, verbal and communication skills and the ability to handle changing priorities. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work independently, train others and acquire new skills as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Two- or four-year college degree. Experience using Cognos, Focus, and Oracle SQL Plus. Experience using Ellucian Banner database and ODS. Experience working in a development office. Familiarity with IRS rules governing charitable contributions. Experience with mail merges and Excel formulas.
Salary: Minimum rate of pay is $16.14/hr
