Automotive Technology Instructor
Teach all aspects of an Automotive Technology Associate Degree program. Provide all instructional methods available including traditional lecture, hands-on-lab work, technology enhanced learning, and team-based learning. Participate in department and College activities, develop and refine curriculum, assist in recruitment of students and maintain various and individual program certifications. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 8 years full-time related occupational experience or approved Journey-worker status plus ASE, L1, G1, and Master certification OR an Associate’s degree in career field and 4 years full-time related occupational experience plus ASE, L1, G1, and Master certification OR Bachelor’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline and 2 years full-time related occupational experience plus ASE, L1, G1, and Master certification required. Teaching experience, computer literate, hybrid training and NC-3 training preferred. May involve travel to other campuses, for day, evening and/or weekend classes. 232 day, 12-month contract. A teaching demonstration will be part of the interview process. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval. Hiring process includes a background check. NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
