Lecturer, Introductory Biology and Cell/Molecular Biology (Two positions)

Position:
The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics invites applications for two renewable, non-tenure track, 10-month Lecturer positions in the Department of Biological Sciences beginning Spring 2017.

Qualifications:
MS or PhD in an appropriate field and experience teaching college freshman preferred. Possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.

Responsibilities:

Teach four 3 credit courses per semester. Observe experienced instructors and contribute to professional development meetings with other instructors. One position will have the primary responsibility of teaching a lecture/laboratory course in introductory biology for College of Health Professional majors, BIOL 190. The other position will teach an introductory lecture/laboratory course for Biology majors in cellular biology and genetics (BIOL 201), as well as an upper level course in Cell Biology (BIOL 408) or Molecular Biology (BIOL 409).
