Position:
The College of Education invites applications for a non-tenure track, 10-month Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Instructional Leadership and Professional Development beginning August, 2017.

Qualifications:

EdD or PhD and significant PK-12 experience required, particularly experience in leadership roles. Expertise in instructional leadership, cultural competence, evidence-based planning and assessment of student learning outcomes. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to preparing school leaders who are committed to equity and social justice in schools. Expertise in both theories and practices of educational leadership and professional development and whose research, teaching and serve activities effectively address equity, transformation, and leadership in underperforming schools.

Responsibilities:

Teach four-course schedule per semester of graduate courses in instructional and education leadership, advising approximately 25-30 students, fulfilling a collegial role in the department, and serving on university and college committees. Instructional Leadership and Professional Development faculty are expected to teach high quality and rigorous courses in a variety of locations (on-campus and in local school settings) and formats (face-to-face, on-line, and hybrid) in order to respond to the needs of Maryland educators.
