Job Purpose
Housing and Residence Life at Towson University (TU) is currently accepting applications for a Residence Life Coordinator. Description
The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) is primarily responsible the learning and student development within a residential community housing 320-625 students. The RLC leads the community of student learners and supervises Resident Assistants. The RLC serves as a member of the area staff responsible for developing a comprehensive living and learning environment for residence hall students. Responsibilities also include counseling and student conduct, physical facilities, committees and other assignments.

The Residence Life Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Residence Life in the area assigned, has additional opportunities for involvement in the department and University, and is encouraged to belong and contribute to professional associations. The department financially supports professional activities.

Qualifications
Master's degree required in higher education, student personnel, or related field. Previous residence life experience and experience with program development, advising helping/counseling, housing administration, and working with diverse students is preferred.

Additionally, RLCs must be available during evenings and weekends, as well as be able to scale four flights of stairs in order to respond to residence hall incidents. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.

Salary and Benefits
$40,000 annually and full university benefits that include excellent health, life insurance, and retirement plans; tuition remission; and 22 days of annual leave, 14 holidays, personal and sick days. To learn more about our benefits, please click here.

Live-in position with furnished apartment and academic year meal plan.
