Assistant Vice President, and University Registrar
University of Oregon is seeking candidates for the Assistant Vice President for Student Services and Enrollment Management, University Registrar. The Office of the University Registrar is a department in the division of Student Services and Enrollment Management which includes Academic Extension, Office of Admissions, Counseling and Testing Center, University Health Center, University Housing, Office of the Registrar, Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, Student Orientation Programs, Student Services and Enrollment Management Development, and Student Services and Enrollment Management Research, and Student Services and Enrollment Management Strategic Communications. This position will lead and serve as the University Registrar and provide leadership as a key leader in the Student Services and Enrollment Management organization at the University of Oregon.

Duties and Responsibilities: This position directs and leads the Office of the University Registrar, including the development, and direct planning and administration of student registration, registrar functions and university policies and programs, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and institutional requirements, and the fiscal and human resource planning in Office of University Registrar. This position also formulates ideas, and develops institutional research to provide context for statistical modeling and analyses of institutional data to support strategic planning initiatives and decision making related to the student experience and retention initiatives. Developing, designing and assessing existing registrar office practices, while also proposing new and innovative methods to providing student services and information to U of O current students in support of SSEM strategic enrollment management and planning is a key component of this position. This position will advise, collaborate, and consult with the Vice President and University of Oregon representatives to establish policies, plans and strategic goals for enrollment management for the University of Oregon consistent with the goals to attract, admit and retain a desirable student body. Providing leadership that advances the mission and attainment of goals of the Office of University Registrar as well as the Student Services and Enrollment Management organization is also critical to this position.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a master’s degree in higher education administration or policy or a closely related field, an earned doctorate is preferred. Ten years experience in higher education with ten years student services or preferably strategic enrollment management is required. Preferred experience is ten years of Registrar Office experience including at least five years of progressive registrar experience at a large public research institution. Prefer five years as a University Registrar at a large research institution. Extensive knowledge of the traditional functional areas in enrollment management is required. Prefer five years in a leadership position of an enrollment management functional area with an emphasis on a broad scope of administrative experience. Extensive knowledge of university administration and national registrar policy, practices and regulations is required.
