Director of Housing
Husson University's Housing office has an opening for a Director of Housing. This is a 12-month full time position which reports directly to the Vice President of Administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for facility management, including all purchasing for facilities and overseeing of service contracts.
- Support and coordinate with custodial and maintenance departments for the residence facilities (capital improvements, break projects, preventative maintenance evaluations, maintenance requests, health & safety checks, key/lock changes, damages billing)
- Administer housing placements for students
- Prepare occupancy reports and statistics throughout the school year; generate statistics on late placements, temporary housing and withdrawal figures
- Develop/oversee/revise housing policies
- Administer Card Access system (programming, support) for all four residence halls
- Oversee and coordinate logistics for summer rental groups/camps (placement, dining, facility usage, staffing, contracts, facility rentals, and invoicing)
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include oversight of a staff of four Resident Directors and a staff of 30 resident assistants.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required. 2-5 years of residential/housing experience, excellent organizational skills along with the ability to communicate effectively among many groups across campus and the community are desirable. Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Administration, Counseling or Higher Education preferred.
