GENERAL DUTIES
Performs teaching duties in area(s) of expertise as noted below. Distinguished Lecturers are experienced practitioners or teachers in their professions or fields of expertise. Distinguished Lecturer positions are full-time but non-tenure track positions with a maximum appointment period of seven years, subject to annual reappointment.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Teach undergraduate and graduate art education courses in the School of Education. Collaborate with other faculty.
Distinguished Lecturer positions are full-time but non-tenure track positions with a maximum appointment period of seven years, subject to annual reappointment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and a record of achievement in a profession or field of expertise related to anticipated teaching assignments. Also required is the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in art, art education or a related field, the ability to teach art courses for elementary educator. Preferred: Doctorate in art education; teaching experience at the pre-K through 12 and higher education levels; experience with the use of technology in instruction; ability to collaborate with community based arts education groups; familiarity with exemplary art education curricula; excellent written and oral communication skills; and a commitment to working in multi-cultural and urban education settings.
COMPENSATION
Commensurate with qualification and experience ($40,844 - $84,000).
