FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Philosophy Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall semester 2014. Area of specialization should be 20th Century Anglo-American Philosophy. The successful candidate will be expected to teach advanced undergraduate courses in two of Philosophy of Language, Metaphysics, and Philosophy of Mind. Interest in teaching interdisciplinary courses relating to issues in language and mind will be a plus. The successful candidate must be committed to undergraduate teaching, engage in research and scholarly writing, and be willing to share responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.
Ph.D. in Philosophy before the position begin date of September 1, 2014 is required. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
