The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for the education requirement. Substitution of Experience for Education Permitted Yes Preferred Qualifications Prefer applicants with: (1) previous higher education financial aid work experience, (2) demonstrated customer service skills, and (3) computer skills especially in Word and Excel. Job Description The position counsels and informs students, prospective students, and parents on all matters relating to financial aid. Supplemental Job Information The key job responsibilities include: (1) verifies student information and evaluates students for eligibility, (2) performs data entry of all financial aid documents, and (3) keeps abreast of federal and state regulations as they apply to financial aid. This position requires some evenings and weekends, especially during peak registration periods. Additional Documents Required If the applicant is not substituting prior-related work experience for the educational requirement of an awarded Associate's degree or two-year college equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) from a regionally accredited educational institution, must bring a copy of diploma or transcript when selected for an interview.
