Salary range of $76,767-$95,762 for a 48 week contract on the 2011-2012 HFCC Administrators’ Association Salary Schedule, Grade 4 Coordinator, plus pension supplement. Longevity pay after seven years. Benefits include fully paid hospital-surgical-medical, dental, and optical insurance for employee and dependents; term life insurance; short/long-term disability insurance for employee; 20 vacation days, 5 personal business days, sick leave, and holiday policies. Employees are part of the Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement System or may choose the Optional Retirement Plan offered through TIAA-CREF. To perform the professional responsibilities designated in the job specifications, an administrator may work additional hours or days, which shall be without additional compensation in accordance with the labor agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Coordinator of Perkins provides leadership for all aspects of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Grant. Primary responsibilities include managing the Perkins grant application, budget, project management, final report, and ensuring compliance with federal Perkins legislation and relevant state and federal guidelines. He/she is also responsible for Perkins accountability research and compliance reporting including Perkins Core Performance Indicators, Perkins-funded program assessment and evaluation, and state approval of programs for Perkins funding. He/she is also responsible for working collaboratively with HFCC colleagues and representatives.
Qualifications
Academic Preparation
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution; master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience with federal and state grants including project management and reporting. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Education grant experience preferred. Extensive experience in database development and management, experience with Datatel Colleague preferred, experience with other software products, including those relating to data analysis and customized report programming. Extensive experience with Microsoft Access required. The candidate must exhibit the highest professional integrity; be self-motivated must have strong attention to detail; must be highly organized; must have strong listening, speaking, and writing skills; must be personable and have the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with College personnel and students in a multi-cultural environment; must be an innovative, strategic thinker; and must strive for the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
