This job expired 2 months ago.Summary: The Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning directs the Graduate School USA’s strategic planning initiatives and coordinates the school’s efforts in institutional assessment and performance improvement. He/she coordinates the development of the institution’s operating departments’ goals, objectives, policies, and standards for consistency with the institution’s mission, goals, and values. Responsible for executing all assigned projects leading to achieving and maintaining accredited status for both the institution. This position reports directly to the Graduate School’s President and CEO with administrative supervision provided by the Provost.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, develop and implement a comprehensive program of institutional effectiveness designed to promote and advance academic achievement and quality in all areas of the Graduate School USA,, including administrative and educational support services
• Direct the Graduate School USA’s strategic planning process, coordinating departmental and program plans to assure their compliance with institutional goals and strategy.
• Document and regularly assess and improve planning processes, ensuring that adequate training and development is provided to staff and administration.
• Engage key leaders in the organization in building the necessary operational plans to meet accreditation standards, track timetables and ensure required actions are undertaken.
• Ensure that ongoing evaluation and improvement are a key component of all plans, and develop a process for sharing results with the School
• Use assessment results in institutional and department planning, resource allocation and renewal.
• Supervise the Associate Director of Institutional Research in developing, collecting, analyzing and communicating measures of institutional effectiveness and provide accurate and timely data and information to key executives and the School community in support of decision-making, planning, policy development and ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with Associate Director of Institutional Research to conduct internal and external research studies on material issues of significance to the Graduate School USA community and oversee special studies as requested by administrators or faculty committees.
• Coordinate the policy documentation and dissemination processes of the institution and ensure that policies are reviewed and updated timely, and that school constituencies are consulted in the development and updates.
• Chair the Institutional Effectiveness Committee and coordinate the work of the Institutional Effectiveness Teams who support the evaluation of institutional goals.
• Participate with the CEO Council to apprise members of progress against plan and to develop awareness of emerging issues that will impact the School’s effectiveness. Serve as executive secretary for the Council, documenting decisions made and actions taken.
• Serve on the Accreditation Steering Committee and other committees as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must have strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Must have an expert understanding of operations within an education environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to gain the confidence and trust of decision makers internally and externally.
• Must be able to multi-task, have a keen attention to detail and be well organized.
• A minimum of seven (7) years experience in planning, research, and assessment in the educational environment, with at least 2 in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Master’s degree in a closely related field
