Position Summary: Responsible to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing, the Articulation and Transfer Coordinator will plan, direct, and administer transfer and articulation services, policies, and outreach functions associated with partnerships with post-secondary public and private institutions including but not limited to initial review of articulation with Dual Degree/Joint Degree partnerships, maintenance and oversight of Illinois Articulation Initiative compliance, oversight of articulation agreements with post-secondary partners including web site presence, management of data associated with dual degree program enrollment and other related initiatives as established at Governors State University.
The campus is conveniently located within easy reach by road and rail to Chicago and surrounding communities with a wealth of cultural and natural attractions. The region has a number of high performing schools and engaged communities.
Minimum Qualifications: -- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years directly related responsibility in higher education.
-- Evidence of understanding and ability to work within university policy, procedure and structure.
-- Evidence of understanding the Illinois Articulation Initiative (or similar) and how to translate related policy and procedure for internal and external constituents.
-- Evidence of understanding the role of Dual Degree and Joint Degree programs and how to translate related policy and procedure for internal and external constituents.
-- Evidence of ability to build strong relationships both on and off-campus at all levels of institutional governance regarding transfer credit, articulation and degree programs.
-- Evidence of ability to manage data using excel and other software.
-- Evidence of ability to communicate issues regarding articulation and transfer to students and parents/key student advocates.
-- Evidence of ability to manage and attend to detail.
-- Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills.
-- Evidence of ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with strong time management skills.
-- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to be used for work-related travel. Successful candidate will make periodic visits to regional college and university campuses.
-- Evidence of ability to exercise good judgment, make decisions, and function with high levels of autonomy. Strong work ethic.
