Overview:
The Research Analyst will provide support for the Office of Institutional Research by conducting data collection, analysis, and reporting of information from internal and external data sources in support of institutional planning, assessment, institutional effectiveness, decision making, and policy formation.

Essential Duties
• Assists in maintaining and monitoring data files and supplementary databases and datasets.
• Analyze, interpret, and synthesize information from data files and clearly communicate the findings to support administrative decision-making, strategic planning, and institutional effectiveness processes.
• Prepare accurate and timely responses to mandatory state and federal reporting requirements.
• Respond to internal and external data requests.
• Create external and internal surveys using survey software.
• Assists in the preparation of the College Fact Book.
• Assist with ensuring compliance of academic and non-academic units with SACS standards and requirements of specialized accrediting agencies with regard to institutional effectiveness.
• Performs basic data collection and analysis for grant proposal development, and research and evaluation studies.
• Monitor the release of RFPs from government agencies and other entities and disseminate to appropriate staff.

Education & Directly Applicable Experience
• BS/BA required. Master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, educational research or a related field preferred.
• Experience with SPSS/SAS, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and SQL.
• Must be able to work in a multi-project, fast-paced environment and meet concurrent deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently on repetitive as well as new and unfamiliar projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
