Electrician I- 0602332

Duties: Installs conduits, wires, pill boxes, switch boards, and switches required for making additions, extensions, or alterations to electrical systems. Will trouble shoot electrical equipment for preventative repairs and maintenance. Will service and repair lighting, power, heating, cooling and communication systems throughout the university. Will install and test safety devices such as fire alarms. Will repair and replace parts in motors, generators, pumps, storage batteries, switchboards, etc.

Minimum Qualifications: Technical or vocational degree and one year experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Applicable knowledge of the current State of Georgia electrical codes. Should be able to work with standard tools and equipment using proper procedures.

Salary Range $27,795 - $30,000
