Duties:
**Work Location is at the Alpharetta Center, located approximately 22 miles and a minimum 40 minute drive from Downtown Atlanta at: 3775 Brookside Pkwy.
Alpharetta, GA 30022

-Employee will be responsible for transportation to and from job site, including any applicable toll charges.

Work Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday through Thursday, 11:00pm - 7:00am

The employee will provide custodial care for Georgia State University facilities. Cleans and performs room setups in assigned building areas following established routines and procedures. Serves as lead person on cleaning assignments and may assist in training Custodian I on methods and procedures. Floor Maintenance-sweeps; uses dust mop, wet mop, scrubs, strips, restores, buffs and waxes floors; also performs other duties as needed to maintain cleanliness of campus floors. Will dust, vacuum, empty trash; cleans furnishings and equipment in classrooms and offices; cleans and stocks restooms; also performs related assigned duties. Employee will use cleaning chemicals daily and will sometimes work around potentially dangerous materials in certain laboratories.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and at least one year experience in an institutional, industrial or commercial setting. Criminal Background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications: Six months experience using powered cleaning equipment and restoring floors. Experience serving as a lead person on a cleaning team. The ability to follow oral and written instructions. Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment used in institutional, industrial or commercial setting. The physical ability needed to perform manual work for an extended period of time. Completion of a documented formal training in facilities course.

Salary Range $19,970 - $22,000
