Georgia State University Building Services Admin and Support is seeking applicants for a Custodian I position
Duties: Shift schedule: 2nd shift Monday through Friday 3:00pm to 11:30pm
Provides custodial care for Georgia State U niversity facilities. Cleans and performs room set-ups in assigned building areas following established routines and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications: Criminal background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Six months experience working in an institutional, industrial or commercial setting preferred. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required (approx. 30-50lbs.). Some knowledge of custodial practices, techniques and procedures preferred. Some knowledge of the operation and use of equipment and tools used at the main campus; on occasion, work may take place at one of the off-campus properties. Employee will use cleaning chemicals daily and sometimes work around potentially dangerous materials in certain laboratories.
Salary Range $19,475
