Position Title: Athletics Assistant Compliance Director - NCAA Compliance Coordinator (Req. #0610398)
Position Description: Athletics. Georgia Southern University, a member of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for an Assistant NCAA Compliance Director. Responsibilities include: provide NCAA compliance support services for all sports as assigned by the Director of NCAA Compliance; coordinate NCAA Eligibility Center process for incoming student-athletes; coordinate and maintain all squad list data in the NCAA Compliance Assistance Program, all reports and paperwork relating to official campus visits by prospective student-athletes, all reports and paperwork related to playing and practice season; and other duties as assigned by the Director of NCAA Compliance.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree; one or more years' full-time experience in athletics compliance or related field; effective communication (verbal and written), organization, and human relations skills; proficiency with PC computers and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; ability to work well in a diverse environment; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in related field; one year of directly related experience in a Division I collegiate athletics compliance office; two to four years of directly related experience in collegiate athletics compliance involving eligibility, financial aid, recruiting compliance and rules education, rules interpretation and rules enforcement programs; familiarity and experience with the NCAA Computer Assistant, Internet, Banner, or other student information system, and desktop publishing
