Job Summary/Basic Function
Founded in 2005, GGC is the 35th institution of the University System of Georgia. GGC is a premier 21st century four-year liberal arts college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools. With a current enrollment of over 9,000 students, GGC expects within two years to exceed 11,000 students, including both residential and commuter students. Located in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area, GGC provides a student-centered, technology-enriched learning environment. Gwinnett County (pop. 780,000+) is home to a variety of businesses, including organizations involved in health care, education, and information technology.
GGC is seeking candidates for the position of Chinese Language part time Faculty for future semesters in 2013. Reporting to the Dean of Liberal Arts, this position will plan and develop courses in college-level introductory Chinese. This position also reviews, evaluates and recommends student learning materials, and evaluates students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Successful candidates must have a Master's degree in Chinese Language Instruction or related discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Chinese Language.
Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse population of students.
Preferred Qualifications
A Ph.D. degree is preferred. College or University
teaching experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
Position requires local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.
