Job Summary/Basic Function
Founded in 2005, Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is the 35th institution of the University System of Georgia. GGC is a premier 21st century four-year liberal arts college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools. Georgia Gwinnett College seeks an Athletics Corporate Sponsorship Coordinator.

Job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Assumes responsibility for the Office of Athletics corporate sponsorship stewardship efforts including, but not limited to, sponsorship fulfillment, secondary solicitation and client management. Acts as a liaison in prospecting and cultivating corporate sponsors. Assists in the development, negotiations and coordination of corporate sponsorships in accordance with office revenue goals by identifying potential partners. Closes sponsorship agreements as necessary and appropriate. Establishes and maintains records, invoices and receivables as well as coordinates annual sponsorship review reports to ensure fulfillment of contract terms.

Oversees the execution of sponsorship branding on print materials, arena signage, exhibit booths, promotions, giveaways, website, radio and television, ticket access and special events as required under the terms of the contract.

Develops and implements corporate sales strategies designed to generate ticket revenue. Solicits individuals, businesses and community groups in an effort to increase interest in the purchase of premium seating.

Develops promotional schedules for all sports, including local radio shows, coaches' luncheons and specific fundraising events. Develops, negotiates and oversees the logistics for these events. Works in collaboration with designated Athletics staff as well as other College staff as necessary and appropriate to ensure events are effectively executed.

Assists in the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing plan for various sport programs. Works collaboratively to design and distribute all marketing print materials, ticket sales pieces as well as advertising and sales campaign initiatives such as flyers, posters, emails and mass mailings.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.

-General knowledge of intercollegiate athletics at NAIA or NCAA level
-Experience with fundraising and corporate sponsorships
-Ability to create promotional plans and develop marketing materials
-Excellent fiscal, communication, and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work well with all employees in Athletic Department
-Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
-Effective organizational and time management skills
-Considerable knowledge of computers and various software packages used for word processing, graphs, tables, etc. (Microsoft Office 2003, Excel, PowerPoint)

EXPERIENCE: 3 or more years of fundraising, corporate sponsorship or marketing experience in Intercollegiate Athletics at the NAIA or NCAA level.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree Preferred

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.
