Job Description Summary:

To support the Identity and Access Management Team in analysis and implementation of identity management, access management, and directory services solution at the University.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and 4 years of relevant experience. Degree requirements may be substitued for an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Desired Qualifications:

An advanced degree in Computer Science, technology, or a related field.

Prior experience with Identity and Access Management.

Ability to translate user needs into requirements documents and coordinate testing, implementation, and training for these requests with the technical team and other functional team members.

Ability to write SQL queries and Java code per business requirements.

Technical knowledge of software development and systems analysis.

Comprehensive knowledge of the Identity Management project lifecycle, with a strong preference for Oracle Identity and Access Management tools.

Strong working knowledge of principles, philosophies, and best practices for Identity and Access Management.

Ability to identify and analyze complex problems as they relate to Identity and Access Management and provide resolutions.

Ability to quickly learn new product functionality and to effectively communicate that information to end-users and the impact of this information to the end-users’ existing system usage.

Ability to identify and recommend new processes or business practices for the purpose of streamlining business processes (internal and external).

A demonstrated multitasking ability.

Ability to work well individually and as a team member.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work experience in a higher education institution.

Experience as a project manager, team lead, or task lead.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Job Duties

  • Provides daily support of IAM applications; including Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Virtual Directory, and Oracle Internet Directory.

  • Assists users in articulating business requirements. Oversees translation of user requirements into technical specifications to ensure that the requirements are met.

  • Supports and troubleshoots interactions of the University’s IAM systems and ancillary systems including but not limited to Banner, Active Directory, Sun LDAP, Oracle eBS, etc.

  • Acts as a team lead and/or project manager on specific projects.

  • Implementation/deployment/configuration of Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Virtual Directory, and Oracle Internet Directory components.

  • Utilizes appropriate techniques and tools to identify and address problems and also co-ordinates with IAM development and operations, partner teams, the help-desk, and end users to identify and resolve problems.

  • Participates in user review, verification, and testing sessions as directed and develops test scripts, performs tests according to these scripts, and documents the results.

  • Provides training and/or knowledge transfer to junior staff and users as needed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
