Temporary Instructor, Occupational Safety
Fairmont State University and Pierpont Community & Technical College, with a 120-acre main campus in Fairmont, WV, is part of the state’s growing high technology corridor with a metro area of about 50,000 residents.
Duties and Responsibilities Teach undergraduate courses in Occupational Safety (Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology, Construction Safety and Law, System Safety and Management, Ergonomics and Human Factors, etc.)
Minimum Required Education Master's degree in Occupational Safety or closely related field or three years of industrial experience as a safety coordinator or practitioner in the field.
Required Licenses and/or Certifications CSHM or CSP certifications desired.
Type and Amount of Experience Needed Demonstrated experience in teaching and training in an industrial or business environment related to safety compliance.
Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or Ed.D in Occupational Safety or closely related field.
