The Department of Engineering Sciences currently features a graduate degree in Systems Engineering, an undergraduate certificate program in Pre-Engineering Studies and supports minor and specialty courses of study in Engineering Science that are part of other Worldwide Campus degree programs. A current initiative for the Department is support of a two-year Pre-Engineering program in cooperation with the Daytona Beach and Prescott Colleges of engineering. A Ph.D. I Aviation program was launched in January 2010. In addition to its Worldwide on-campus education programs, the University has a large online education program, with a student body (both on campus and online) comprised mostly of highly motivated career professionals seeking a degree for professional advancement or personal interest. The student body is composed of active duty military personnel, those currently employed by the aviation/aerospace industry, and individuals with a deep interest in aviation, who come from a variety of backgrounds. Our student body also has a strong international component with both on-campus and online students from a number of nations.
