Position Summary: The Department of Government at Eastern Kentucky University seeks an Assistant Professor, tenure track, beginning August 15, 2014. The Department houses a NASPAA-accredited MPA program, as well as undergraduate majors in Political Science and Paralegal Science and a post-baccalaureate certificate in Paralegal Science. Teaching load is 12 hours per semester. Candidates must have expertise in public law and possess a Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Administration or Public Policy from a regionally accredited institution by the time of appointment on August 15, 2014. Successful candidates must be able to teach Political Science and public law courses. The candidate will also be expected to teach introductory courses in American Government or other areas of undergraduate and/or graduate political science and/or public administration.
