Position Summary: The School of Business at Eastern Kentucky University, an AACSB accredited school, has an opening for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Finance beginning August 2013. The primary responsibilities for the candidate will be teaching undergraduate courses in area of Corporate Finance, Financial Institutions, Investments, and Quantitative Methods to a diverse range of students. Excellence in, and a commitment to, teaching are essential. Other duties may include committee assignments, student recruitment, academic advising, course and program development, assessments related to AACSB accreditation and appropriate service and scholarship activities (appropriate for AACSB academic qualification).
Minimum Educational Qualifications: An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in Finance from an AACSB accredited program is required. Candidates who are 'ABD' and are no more than 12 months from completing their doctorate will be considered at the rank of Instructor. An ABD candidate who is hired as an Instructor will receive an automatic promotion to Assistant Professor with a salary adjustment upon completion of the doctorate. Salary will be competitive.
