Job Description: Spanish: Non-tenure-track, fixed-term position as either Teaching Assistant Professor of Spanish or Teaching Instructor of Spanish beginning August 13, 2012. Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, East Carolina University (position #001156). Teaching load of four courses per semester, primarily in the beginning language levels. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to teaching and service to the university, community, and profession. Preference given to individuals with experience in communicative teaching practices. Familiarity with CALL a plus. Salary commensurate with qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD required for appointment as Teaching Assistant Professor. MA in the field or any MA + 18 graduate units in the field required for appointment as Teaching Instructor. Native or near-native Spanish and English.
