East Carolina University, a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina, is a doctoral institution with an enrollment of over 27,000 students and approximately 4,500 faculty and staff.

Job Description: The College of Nursing is currently seeking faculty with interest and expertise in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.

Faculty are responsible for planning, teaching and evaluating all theory and clinical courses. Faculty have responsibilities in teaching research/scholarly activity, and service to the College, University, and profession.

Teaching responsibilities may include classroom/didactic instruction, participation in clinical laboratory simulations, demonstration and evaluation of students providing direct patient care in a variety of acute and long term care mental health and substance abuse treatment settings.

Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical and teaching experience in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.

Fixed term or Tenure Track position available.

Minimum Qualifications: Tenure track positions require a doctorate from an appropriately accredited institution in nursing.

Non-tenure requires a Master's degree from an appropriately accredited institution in nursing.

A valid non-restricted nursing license is required upon employment.

Teaching experience and national specialty certification is preferred.

Two years of clinical nursing experience is required.
