Job Description: Assistant/Associate Professor. The Department of Higher, Adult, and Counselor Education is seeking applications and nominations for a tenure-track, nine month, full-time faculty position in the College of Education, East Carolina University to begin August 13, 2012. Rank and salary: Commensurate with qualifications.
Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in Counselor Education; engaging in an active research and publication agenda including grant writing; supervising practicum experiences and/or internships; and participating in service to the university, community, and profession.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include: (1) Ph.D. or Ed.D. degree earned by July 15, 2012, in Counselor Education or closely related field; (2) demonstrated record of (or potential for) scholarly research and publication; (3) graduation from a CACREP accredited institution. Special consideration given to applicants with eligibility for LPC and/or school license; ability to teach a variety of courses across the curriculum including research and assessment courses; experience teaching online, face-to-face, and/or using technology in the classroom; experience working with CACREP accreditation; experience in facilitating/directing a campus-based clinic; evidence of professional commitment to cultural competence; participation in state, regional, national and/or international counseling organizations.

Finalists will be required to present the results of a current research study as well as describe plans for a future research study. In addition, they will have the opportunity to work with the Associate Dean for Funded Research on submitting a proposal for research start-up funds available at East Carolina University.
