ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, OR PROFESSOR

Job Description: This is a full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies within the College of Health and Human Performance. Teach in and further develop the Graduate Biofeedback Certificate program. Teach stress management and related Recreation and Leisure studies courses. Assist in Department of Defense psychophysiological research grants by developing novel assessment and intervention techniques. Assist with the ECU Wounded Warriors program, and engage in outreach with the health care community. Provide service to the university, community, and profession. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications: A successful candidate should hold a terminal degree in a field such as Recreation Therapy, Behavioral Medicine, or Counseling and show a record of scholarly productivity and external funding, from an appropriately accredited institution. Experience in psychophysiology and biofeedback, with specific skills in cardiovascular or cognitive neuroscience using ECG, as well as design, analysis, and signal processing are highly desirable. Experience working with Wounded Warriors and the Department of Defense are also desired.
