Drake University is seeking an assistant football coach who will develop and execute an effective defensive game plan. This individual must be able to recruit talented student-athletes who reflect Drake University and the athletics department. Must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse campus community.

Drake University is seeking an assistant football coach who will develop and execute an effective defensive game plan. This individual must be able to recruit talented student-athletes who reflect Drake University and the athletics department. Must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse campus community.

| 01 | 30% | Assist in recruiting and retaining talented student-athletes who appropriately reflect Drake University and Departmental values in communication with the Head Coach. |
| 02 | 30% | Assist in the development and execution of effective defensive practice and game plans. Provide feedback, including explanations and demonstrations, to student-athletes related to athletic technique and skill development to achieve proficiency. |
| 03 | 10% | Provide leadership and a positive academic, athletic, and social environment to student-athletes within the Drake football program. |
| 04 | 10% | Assist with administrative duties, as assigned by Head Coach. |
| 05 | 10% | Assist with scouting and game preparation, including video analysis. |
| 06 | 5% | Demonstrate appropriate communication as it relates to internal (coaching staff, student-athletes, athletics staff) and external (fans, friends, parents, prospects, campus community, etc.) constituents. |
| 07 | 5% | Contribute to a positive working environment within the Department and the University. |
| 08 | 0% | All of the duties described above require an understanding of and compliance with the rules of the NCAA, the Missouri Valley Conference, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and/or the Pioneer Football League and Drake University. |

Previous college football coaching experience required.
