Dean College invites applications for the Director of Annual Giving position. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, the Director of Annual Giving is responsible for developing a comprehensive program to achieve Annual Fund goals – both dollar and participation. The Director is specifically responsible for all annual fundraising efforts, including direct mail, e-mail solicitations, athletic fundraising, corporate mail appeals, and the phonathon program. The Director is also responsible for specific stewardship efforts at the College, including overseeing the gift acknowledgement process and recognition events/efforts aimed at Awpie Society donors and ODHS members. Serving as Managing Editor of the Dean Bulletin, the Director is responsible for writing articles, creating schedules, managing contributing writers, uploading files to the FTP site, and coordinating the project with outside designer and proofreader. The Director will target specific alumni, parent, and friend gifts to the College and develop a pipeline of Annual Fund prospects to contact, cultivate and solicit.
The Director must be an advocate for the College and representative of the College and its mission in day-to-day working environment and at College events.

Qualifications: A Baccalaureate degree required and five years of fundraising experience, preferably in higher education necessary. Proficient knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, Constant Contact e-mail marketing, Wealth Engine, Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word. Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills are required. The ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with alumni, parents and friends of the College is essential. Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet short deadlines in accordance with the Annual Fund Operating Plan. Displays the ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team. Displays the ability to use discretion and has the ability to handle confidential information.
