The Department of Psychology at Daemen College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Developmental Psychology to start Fall, 2014. All areas of developmental specialty will be considered (e.g., social, cognitive). We are committed to teaching Psychology as a cohesive scientific discipline with a strong emphasis on writing and student-faculty research. We seek candidates with a record of commitment to undergraduate teaching and advising to teach courses required for the Psychology degree (e.g., research methods, junior seminar, senior thesis) as well as introductory psychology and courses in Developmental Psychology. Continued scholarship is expected, as well as participation in our competency-based, interdisciplinary core curriculum.
Ph.D. (dissertation defense completed by May, 2014) and teaching experience as primary course instructor are required.
