Graduate Recruitment Coordinator

This job expired 1 month ago.The Graduate Recruitment Coordinator works closely with the Director of Graduate Admissions to develop and execute overall and program specific strategic initiatives to ensure a robust inquiry and applicant pool. The GRC analyzes current market trends and inquiry, applicant, and enrolled student data to identify sources of students. In conjunction with the Director, he/she helps develop and execute strategies to recruit inquires and applicants from these identified target areas. In addition, the GRC is the primary recruitment officer for the institution. The GRC manages and/or assists with off-site presentations, information sessions, and admissions receptions, special events, and college fairs. Some weekend and evening work required. Substantial travel and reliable transportation required.
The Graduate Recruitment Coordinator will:
Schedule Spring and Fall Graduate Recruitment travel and attend college fairs and visits nation-wide in identified markets
o Tasks include registering for graduate and professional school fairs, arranging individual school visits and travel accommodations, and identifying Corcoran staff and faculty coverage at events.
Build institutional relationships with college professors and business professionals to enhance both overall and program specific recruitment efforts
Build and maintain a data base of college and business professionals and organizations relevant to the Corcoran’s recruitment efforts
Outreach to pertinent community and professional organizations
Support Director in developing overall recruitment strategies to increase the number of both traditional and non-traditional graduate inquires and applicants
In conjunction with Director, implement program specific recruitment efforts to increase the number of applicants in targeted programs
Manage Facebook and Twitter (if applicable) accounts for the graduate admissions areas aimed at prospects
Disseminate communication materials (i.e. emails, acceptance letters, approved publications) aimed at inquiry audiences. Utilize the mass e-communication system
Collaborate with the alumni relations officer to develop a Graduate Alumni Recruitment Network and develop programming activities that make use of this network in furthering the Corcoran’s recruitment efforts
Work with Director to determine the Corcoran’s market position in each graduate program and identify key competitors in each area of study
Actively manage the inquiry pool to move them from the inquiry to applicant stage in a timely manner. Includes utilizing Corcoran student system to enter inquiry data on a timely basis
Participate in on-campus recruitment events as needed
Possess knowledge of current trends in higher education and admissions, and have a desire to seek out and create professional development opportunities.

Required Qualifications:
-Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
-Ability to develop strong relationships with a variety of constituencies
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
-Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
-Ability to travel extensively independently, including evenings and weekends
-Minimum of two years of graduate admissions, higher education, or marketing experience
Desired Qualifications:
-Master’s Degree
- Knowledge of current trends and practices in graduate recruitment
-Experience in advising/counseling of students
-Experience with computer applications; database experience a plus
