Job Specifications: Doctoral degree in a related field and a minimum of eight years experience. Ability to work effectively as a team player and colleague and build consensus.
General Summary: Administers campus operations including planning in concert with College strategic priorities, budgeting, financial management, shared governance and technological applications to learning.
Job Duties: 1. Assists the College President and the leadership team in evaluating and developing new learning focused goals and prioritizes college-wide actions/objectives to accomplish these goals.
2. Builds a cohesive leadership team to coordinate campus services to retain current and attract new students as well as to enhance the campus' relationship with the external community.
3. Serves as campus chief spokesperson.
4. Works with internal (academic deans, student development coordinator, dean of administration and students) and external communities (hospitals, businesses, county council, local senators and legislators) to clarify situations, promote new initiatives, create mutually beneficial programs and share ideas.
5. Leads and/or directs the leadership team to develop new educational programs with the emphasis of promoting learning through the ongoing examination of practices that foster broad based participation.
6. Identifies, with the leadership team, areas that challenge the campus (retention, limited space, etc.); researches the issues, collects data, reviews related information and devises methods to overcome the obstacles.
7. Responds to college-wide initiatives and facilitates standards that foster best practices, accountability, efficiency and shared governance.
8. Facilitates campus consensus to improve morale, create a feeling of empowerment, generate a sense of commitment and build an overall feeling of satisfaction.
9. Participates in college-wide planning and interprets the plans to the campus community.
10. Ensures that counterpart groups among faculty, departments or divisions work across the college to standardize practices, share information, focus on mutual concerns and eradicate challenges.
11. Creates an environment that is open and inclusive of diverse cultures and ideas.
12. Provides College and community service.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
