1. Is certified to professional coaching programs.
2. Provides instruction to adult learners with varying educational levels, abilities, and backgrounds. (Example: individuals without a high school diploma to those with a Bachelor or Master degree within the same classroom.) Instructor must be able to appropriately adapt and deliver material to the multiple experience levels within each class.
3. Inserts and utilizes logistic industry examples throughout the curriculum delivery.
4. Instructor provides instruction to a diverse range of economic participation from dislocated workers to homeless populations up to a middle class economic level and must be prepared to handle issues relating to this economic participation during the class delivery.
5. Can develop and refine job preparation curriculum around stated objectives and adapt to required curriculum outline
6. Performs classroom instruction according to assigned schedule; answers questions and provides assistance to students regarding assignments and classroom activities both inside and outside of class room hours.
7. Assists with identifying, planning, scheduling and implementing learning activities appropriate to student need.
8. Directs students to appropriate mode or materials to accomplish objectives; maintains records of student progress.
9. Makes recommendations for program improvements as appropriate and required.
10. Interfaces regularly with project team and other instructors; attends scheduled meetings
11. Maintains confidentiality of student records and other sensitive subject matter
12. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet work load demands.
13. Performs other related duties as required including attending other training as required. Required education/experience Provides instruction to adult learners with varying educational levels, abilities, and backgrounds. An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills and abilities. Minimum qualifications for this position are: Certified in delivering professional coaching and has done so for a minimum of two years. Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or equivalent experience. Experience in providing instruction to a diverse range of economic participation from dislocated workers to homeless populations up to a middle class economic level and must have experience in handling issues relating to this economic participation during the class delivery. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of: professional coaching techniques, assisting participants in varying economic situations, subject areas and course material; computer software, programs and applications; concepts and terminology.
Skill in: instruction, teaching and lesson planning; organizing and planning; computer software applications; some general typing; organizing and coordinating projects; use of required equipment; and computer software applications.
Ability to: quickly adapt and work with a variety of people at all levels within the same classroom at any given time; instruct and train others; plan and organize daily tasks; solve problems; develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, adjunct and staff; maintain confidential and sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications Training/Certifications Required Professional coaching certification or five or more years providing job coaching to adults 30 and over.
