Job Description:

The Department of Social Work seeks to fill a fulltime, tenure track, Assistant Professor of Social Work faculty position beginning in the Fall 2012. This person will teach a combination of courses ranging from practice to policy in our Accredited Bachelor of Science in Social Work Program. As a member of The College of Saint Rose faculty, the applicant is expected to teach assigned courses in accordance with relevant academic policies, participate in academic advising and program assessment, engage in scholarship, and serve the College’s communities through participation in Department, School, and College-wide committees.

Requirements:

A Master’s Degree in Social Work ( or a waiver from the Council on Social Work Education) and a Ph.D. in Social Welfare or Social Work is required, plus a combination of at least 5 years’ experience in the following: social work practice in a not for profit,, state or federal agency , teaching experience within an accredited Bachelor of Science in Social Work program.
