This job expired 2 months ago.The City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) District 508, is the largest community college system in Illinois and one of the largest in the nation, with 5,800 faculty and staff serving 120,000 students at seven campuses and thirteen satellite sites city-wide. The City Colleges of Chicago is currently in the midst of a collaborative effort to review and revise CCC programs and practices to ensure students leave CCC college-ready, career-ready and prepared to pursue their life’s goals.
CCC includes seven colleges: Richard J. Daley College, Kennedy-King College, Malcolm X College, Olive-Harvey College, Harry S Truman College, Harold Washington College and Wilbur Wright College. The system also oversees: the Washburne Culinary Institute, the French Pastry School, two restaurants, five Child Development Centers, the Center for Distance learning, the Workforce Institute, the public broadcast station WYCC-TV Channel 20 and radio station WKKC-FM 89.3FM.
Duties
Responsible for the design, analysis, implementation, testing and documentation of PeopleSoft enterprise application software for the District’s seven colleges and the District Office. This position also provides functional support on the financial administrative applications in the areas of reporting, problem resolution, system support, or system testing.
Gathers end-user requirements, designs, communications specifications to technical developers, works with developers to create solutions that meet user requirements. Tests all PeopleSoft customizations, enhancements, interfaces and reports. Writes documentation of system designs, functional specifications and test results. Performs unit and system tests and functional regression testing of developed code. Adheres to OIT design methodologies and change control procedures.
Designs, documents and tests interfaces and transactions with other systems using application programming interfaces (API, macros, script/batch interfaces or electronic commerce solutions). Supports user departments in creation of service requests, specifications, queries and custom reports requirements gathering. Assists with the installation of patches and update releases as needed by technical staff. Assists with troubleshooting and problem resolution during development, testing, and production support. Meets user required and pre-determined development schedules and timelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (MIS, Information Systems, Computer Science) with at least two years of experience in analysis and troubleshooting of PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools 8.48 or higher, detailed functional knowledge of PeopleSoft systems and modules related to Student Administration, Human Resources or Financials Systems. Additional experience with Crystal Reports, nVision, Workflow, and experience with the PeopleSoft applications – HCM, Finance and Campus Solutions – preferred.
Equivalent combination of training and experience with a history of progressively increasing responsibility and accomplishments in a college or comparable institution is desired. Excellent verbal; and written communication skills required. Must be able to work well with employees at all levels of the organization and possess the ability to handle all situations with tact and diplomacy.
