Carson-Newman University invites applicants for an Associate Professor of Education in the Education Department. The position is a full-time, 11-month, tenure track position to begin August, 2014.
Candidates for the position must have an earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, a current school administrator license, and a minimum of five years of successful experience as a P-12 school administrator. Candidates with successful university teaching experience, particularly in online or blended formats, and a record of scholarly activity will be given preference.

Candidates for the position of Associate Professor of Education will design and teach courses in the Ed.S. and Ed.D. programs in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction; advise Ed.D. and Ed.S. candidates and supervise dissertation research; supervise administrative internships; engage in scholarly activity that results in presentation and/or publication beyond the campus community; serve as a participatory member of the department and university community; and carry out all responsibilities expected of faculty members as outlined in the University Faculty Handbook.
