Responsible for the leadership, administration, and management of the liberal arts division. They are accountable for the supervision of staff and faculty, fiscal
performance, academic program development, maintaining sound liaison with local high schools, business and industry, and the community to ensure relevancy of program offerings, and the development/implementation of cooperative programs.
Master's degree required, doctorate preferred in higher education administration, alternative educational delivery and/or a liberal arts discipline for which BCC has course offerings.
1. Demonstrated success or capability as an administrator, as a department chair, an assistant dean, or dean preferably at a comprehensive community college.

2. Two years of full-time college teaching experience.

3. Awareness of or experience using educational technology and/or other alternative ways of delivering instruction.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

1. Experience with outcome assessment and program review to include curriculum development.
2. Experience in developing in-service programs for faculty,
emphasizing teaching and learning.
3. Experience with direct evaluation of faculty, i.e. classroom
visitation, student evaluations, and course materials review.
4. Experience with and the promotion of cultural diversity in the curriculum.
5. Experience with the team approach to management and problem solving.
6. Experience with word processing, spread sheet, and presentation software.
7. Participation in a leadership capacity in at least one accreditation process, either regional or specialized.
8. Experience with promoting the articulation agreements with high schools and four year transfer institutions.
9. Experience at the regional/national level as a presenter, writer, and or researcher.
