Assistant Professor of Philosophy & Religion - Non-Tenure Track
Bridgewater College seeks an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Religion for a full-time, non-tenure track position, beginning August 2012, to be renewed annually by mutual consent.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in religion, including introductory courses in biblical studies (especially introduction to the New Testament). The candidate will teach upper-level undergraduate courses in religion, including biblical interpretation, and may be asked to teach a freshmen orientation course that introduces students to the liberal arts. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching, continued scholarship, and service.
Ph.D. in religion and evidence of successful undergraduate teaching experience are required. Excellence in undergraduate teaching and commitment to broad-based liberal arts education is essential.
