Assistant or Associate Professor of Technological Studies/Manufacturing Technology/Management

Responsibilities:
- Teach on a rotating basis undergraduate courses in the following areas: Materials and Processes Separating, (machine cutting, shaping) Materials and Processes Forming (molding, casting, welding), Material Science, Automation(robotics, bar coding, CAD/CAM, etc.), Power Technology (mechanical, fluid, renewable), Electronics with possible additional areas of CADD (Architectural and Parametric Modeling), Engineering Problem Solving, Engineering Case Study, Project Management, Product Design/Development, and other classes as determined.
- Design and deliver on line courses with Desire To Learn (D2L) software or willingness to obtain necessary skills for on line course design and delivery.
- Contribute to development of field contacts with business and industrial representatives.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary teaching and distance learning delivery.
- Manage related classroom and laboratory facilities for safety, scheduling maintenance, ordering and maintaining supplies.
- Contribute to a program of scholarship within the discipline, student advising, service to the University and community, program assessment, and other associated faculty duties.
- Work with other faculty members and students in curriculum development, student advising and student placement.
- Involvement in activities that support Bemidji State University's signature themes: environmental stewardship, civic engagement, global/multicultural understanding.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited University in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Management or related field.
- ABD considered butcompletion of an earned doctorate is required for promotion and tenure.
- Commitment to quality teaching is required of all candidates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- It would be desirable for the applicant to have experience with program accreditation.
- The applicant should demonstrate a knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
