    This is a full-time position (11 months), reporting to the Head Football Coach and the Director of Athletics. Beloit College is a highly selective coeducational college of 1320 students, nationally recognized for its international and experiential education.  A member of the Midwest Conference and NCAA Division III, Beloit is also a member of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM).  The College is seeking candidates for this position who can demonstrate a record of success in coaching at the collegiate level or equivalent, and exhibit knowledge of recruiting strategies for an academically demanding liberal arts college. It is essential that the successful candidate demonstrate a commitment to the academic success of the students and a compassion for the needs of student-athletes in the context of a highly selective liberal arts institution.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with the organization, administration, and implementation of the football program as assigned by the Head Coach.
    • Organization of an offensive staff through:  scheme, installation, practice plans, drills, scripts, scouting reports, game planning, meetings, film breakdown, clear communication with players /coaches, and game day organization.
    • Possess an ability to effectively recruit qualified student-athletes to the College within the guidelines established by the NCAA, Midwest Conference and in cooperation with the Beloit College Office of Admissions.
    • Lead, monitor, and ensuring that all appropriate safety guidelines and standards are maintained.
    • Represents the football and athletic department to various institutional entities and students, parents, the community, and external agencies.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and manage time by organizing and prioritizing work.
    • Knowledge of NCAA Division III and Midwest Conference rules and regulations.
    • Know and understand the Beloit College mission.
    • Possess a strong vision and philosophical commitment to the integration of Division III athletics and education in the highly-selective, residential liberal arts college environment.
    • Other and/or administrative duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; master’s degree preferred; coaching experience at the high school/collegiate level required demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and MWC rules and a commitment to the academic development of student-athletes required.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    START DATE: Desired start date is March 19, 2012.
